We’ve been making pumps in regional Victoria since 1964. Still family owned, still doing things properly.
DUMAC started back in 1964 when there was a real need for a decent waste pump that could handle what Australian farms were throwing at it. We were the first family-owned mob in the country to design and build vertical column waste disposal pumps — and we’re still at it.
Everything gets made at our workshop in Kyabram, Victoria. We CNC machine our own impellers, use high tensile steel shafts, and source around 83-87% of our materials locally. The design hasn’t changed dramatically over the years because, honestly, it just works.
What started out solving problems for local dairy farmers has spread right across the country. These days you’ll find our pumps in piggeries, wineries, abattoirs, food processing plants, and even mining operations.
Every single pump is built at our Kyabram factory. We don’t outsource the important stuff.
We’re not a corporation. We’re a family that’s been doing this for three generations.
CNC machined components, Australian steel, and proper engineering. No cheap imports.
On-site repairs, spare parts on the shelf, and a dealer network that covers the country.
Our factory is in Kyabram — right in the heart of dairy country. It’s where every DUMAC pump gets built from start to finish. Raw steel goes in one end, a finished pump comes out the other.
Having everything under one roof means we can keep a close eye on quality and turn things around quickly. Need a custom length or a specific configuration? We can sort that out without the usual runaround.
